MACK HOLLY U13 HEAD COACH BIO
by titan lacrosse posted 02/03/2019

 MACK HOLLY BIO:

Last year was my first year coaching with Titans; I helped co-coach with Coach John Mandley and Coach Adam on the U10 boys team.  It was such a blast! I sincerely enjoyed every practice and game, getting to know the players and parents, and learning from John and Adam.  I am super excited for the opportunity to continue coaching for Titans, creating new relationships with players and parents, and helping a new group of players reach their potential as athletes and people.

While I do love sports and especially lacrosse, I believe my calling in life is to work with kids in whatever purposeful capacity.  I received my Bachelor's in History along with a Secondary Teaching license from Colorado State University, and immediately after graduating began working in a public school in the Thompson School District as a paraprofessional and then as an  Affected Needs classroom teacher.  That experience--difficult to say the least-- taught me so many valuable lessons, but one of the most important, I think, is that I have the ability and obligation to be a source of positiveness in a young person's life, and that, while I may never see the results of my impact, it will always be significant.

Since an early age, growing up in Charlottesville, Virginia, I played sports year-round.  Like many, I began with T-ball and basketball and flag football.  Baseball quickly became the sport I excelled at the most, and still believe today if I had stuck with it, I could have played at the collegiate level.  But while in middle school, a family that my family is still close with began playing and coaching lacrosse and introduced my family to the sport.  I immediately fell for lacrosse and fell hard for it.  Developing stick skills consumed me and going to watch games of the men's lacrosse team at the University of Virginia took up most my friends' and my spring weekends.  And even though baseball very well could have change my life, I chose lacrosse instead and do not regret it.

TITANS NEWS

Hope everyone’s Christmas was fantastic.   We are starting a New Year and I am very excited to let everyone know that I have found a NEW Girls Lacrosse Coach.

I met with her already and we have talked about what Titans lacrosse is about.  Her name is Rachel and she is very excited to join our family.  Rachel is 23 yrs old and played lacrosse for Thunderridge HS for 4 years and 1 yr at CSU as a Defenseman.  She grew up in Montana on a Ranch so she knows what hard work is.

She has already reached out to some of her friends, and We have a Second coach by the name of Savannah.  I have reached out to see if we can get New Lacrosse gear for the season.  I will be also checking on an indoor gym to start some conditioning and learning stick skills.

Registration is open for the Girls as well as the Boys.  GIRLS!!  If you are interested in playing lacrosse in the upcoming 2019 season we need you to REGISTER NOW..    Right now we do not have ideas on teams.  We would like to see what interest we have first.    Go to the web site www.titans-lacrosse.com

We need to get started on uniforms, and a couple of other very important items for the girls.  So If you know of someone that wants to play Titans  PLEASE send them to our web site and lets get everyone registered.

If everyone is interested and would like to meet these two then I will put a meeting together.  Just let me know.

Thank you
